Intimate surgery

Six procedures explained discreetly so you can understand indications, limits, recovery and risks — without judgement or promises.

General and confidential information. Any indication requires an in-person examination and assessment by a qualified surgeon.

01 · Hymenoplasty

A private request, explained without judgement.

Hymenoplasty reconstructs hymenal tissue using available local tissue. The request must be freely made by an adult woman.

The essential medical factThe appearance of the hymen cannot establish whether someone has had intercourse. Not bleeding is common and normal; no procedure can guarantee it.
01

Result and limits

Depending on tissue and timing, remnants may be joined or a reconstruction performed. Tissue can be reconstructed, but durability and a specific outcome during intercourse cannot be promised.

02

Recovery and precautions

Gentle hygiene and temporary avoidance of intercourse, tampons, baths, swimming and sport. The consultation is private and takes place with the patient alone.

03

Main risks

Infection, bleeding, wound opening, a painful scar, excessive narrowing, a temporary result or no bleeding are possible.

02 · Vaginoplasty

Post-birth repair after a complete assessment.

Vaginoplasty tightens the vaginal walls and may repair perineal muscles stretched by childbirth.

What it does not treatIt does not correct urinary leakage or pelvic-organ prolapse and cannot guarantee improved sexual pleasure. These require different treatments.
01

Result and limits

The main goals are tone and perineal support. Supervised pelvic-floor rehabilitation should usually be tried before surgery.

02

Recovery and precautions

A gynaecological examination checks for prolapse, incontinence, infection or another cause. Several weeks without intercourse, tampons, baths, swimming, sport or straining are needed.

03

Main risks

Pain during intercourse, over-tightening, wound opening, infection, haematoma, a retractile scar or persistent symptoms are possible.

03 · Mons pubis reduction

Treat fat, loose skin, or both.

The mons pubis may have excess fat, loose skin after weight loss, or both, causing discomfort in clothing, sport or hygiene.

Weight must be stableThis area responds to weight changes. Operating during weight loss or before correcting nutritional deficiencies leads to less stable results.
01

Result and limits

Liposuction suits excess fat with elastic skin. Loose skin requires excision with a low horizontal scar and may be combined with a tummy tuck.

02

Recovery and precautions

Compression, sometimes prolonged swelling, and temporary restrictions on exertion, sport, baths and intercourse.

03

Main risks

Seroma, delayed healing, infection, lymphatic swelling, asymmetry, altered sensation, scar widening and thromboembolic complications.

04 · Labia majora fat transfer

Restore protective volume with your own fat.

Fat is removed from another area, prepared and injected in small amounts into the labia majora when volume has been lost.

Two limits to plan forSome fat is unpredictably reabsorbed and a second session may be needed. Fat transfer does not remove excess skin.
01

Result and limits

The result is judged after several months. Surviving fat becomes living tissue and then responds to weight changes.

02

Recovery and precautions

Marked early swelling, bruising and donor-site discomfort. Direct pressure, cycling, sport and intercourse are temporarily avoided.

03

Main risks

Resorption, asymmetry, nodules, oil cysts, fat necrosis, infection, haematoma and donor-site irregularities.

05 · Labia majora reduction

Reduce excess while preserving the protective function.

The procedure removes excess skin, fat or both when they cause friction, moisture, irritation or discomfort.

An irreversible procedureOver-resection can permanently expose the labia minora, cause dryness and discomfort, and is difficult to correct.
01

Result and limits

Loose skin may be removed in the natural crease. Excess fat with elastic skin may sometimes be treated with gentle liposuction.

02

Recovery and precautions

Swelling and local care. Intercourse, baths, swimming, sport, cycling, prolonged sitting and tight clothing are temporarily restricted.

03

Main risks

Wound opening, infection, haematoma, asymmetry, altered sensation, chronic pain, under- or over-resection.

06 · Labiaplasty

Treat real discomfort while respecting wide normal variation.

Labiaplasty reduces the labia minora when size causes friction, irritation, sport discomfort, pinching or pain.

Remove as little as possibleThe procedure is irreversible. Over-resection may cause dryness, exposure, pain and lasting loss of comfort.
01

Result and limits

An edge trim or wedge resection may be proposed depending on anatomy. The main goal is less genuine discomfort; perfect symmetry cannot be guaranteed.

02

Recovery and precautions

Marked and sometimes uneven swelling, gentle care and several weeks without intercourse, sport, baths, swimming or tight clothing.

03

Main risks

Wound opening, infection, haematoma, pain, asymmetry, altered sensation, under- or over-resection.
