A welcome that feels personal
In Tunisia, welcome is found in conversation, everyday gestures, shared tea and the time people give their visitors. Every encounter is personal, so we describe this hospitality with care rather than presenting it as a universal promise.
Around a confirmed stay, Punica Med remains your practical contact for the agreed itinerary, transfers and accommodation. Sightseeing is always optional and separate from medical care.
Sidi Bou Said
Blue, white and Mediterranean light
UNESCO World Heritage · 2026Set on a promontory above the Mediterranean, Sidi Bou Said is known for white façades, blue doors and sloping lanes. The village developed around the tomb of a 12th–13th-century Sufi master.
Its 2026 UNESCO inscription recognises a cultural landscape where architecture, spirituality and the sea form a distinctive identity.
Historic Tunis
The Medina of Tunis, living heritage
UNESCO World Heritage · 1979With its Arab-Muslim urban origins dating to 698, the Medina of Tunis preserves souks, passageways, homes and places of learning. UNESCO records around 700 historic monuments, from mosques and madrasas to palaces, gates, fountains and mausoleums.

Accommodation
Comfort for every kind of stay
Tunisia’s accommodation ranges from city hotels and coastal resorts to guesthouses, rural stays, oasis villas and desert camps. The right option depends on itinerary, accessibility, dates and the confirmed needs of the stay.
Punica Med does not present these categories as its own properties. Any proposed option must be named and confirmed in the client’s programme.
Southern Tunisia
At the gateway to the Sahara
Around Tozeur and Nefta, palm groves meet ochre-brick quarters, Chott el-Jerid and the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Midès. Beyond them, dunes open onto the Tunisian Sahara.
This Tunisian National Tourist Office video presents the desert as a cultural destination in its own right, not as an activity connected with care.
Living culture
Culture, craft and flavour
Engraved metal, ceramics and woven textiles reflect skills still visible in workshops and souks. At the table, couscous, brik, mechouia salad, dates and mint tea express Tunisia’s many regional traditions.
From the Mediterranean coast to inland cities, Tunisia is more than a backdrop: its culture is encountered through places, gestures and the people who keep it alive.
